LONDON – CottonConnect has appointed its first independent chairman in a bid to expand its work among apparel retailer brands and cotton farmers. Ram Gidoomal CBE, who is also chair of Fair Trade organisation Traidcraft plc, will take the reins at the sustainable cotton consultants, which works with apparel brands on sustainable cotton challenges in their supply chains.
